Remote Online Notary Services (RON)

Here's How It Works!

How RON works

Remote online notary (RON) is a type of electronic notary service that allows the signer and the notary to complete the notarization process remotely, using a video conferencing platform. With this service the notary official verifies identification and signs. Then, the document needs to be mailed for it to be signed by the notary official. This is typically used if you are not racing against time.

1. Book Your Appointment

How: Schedule an appointment through our website or our 24/7 chat bot assistance. You’ll select a time for your online session with a licensed notary.

Confirmation: You’ll receive an email and text confirmation with the date, time, and a link to the secure video session platform.

2. Prepare Your Documents

How: When booking for a notarization request you will need to upload your documents at the same time. Double-check that they’re complete and ready for notarization.

Reminder: Be prepared with a valid, government-issued ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) for identity verification during the session.

3. Join the Video Session

How: At your appointment time, click the link provided in your confirmation email/text to join the secure video call with your notary.

Verification: The notary will verify your identity through the video call.

4. Get Your Documents Notarized

How: During the video session, you will sign the documents while on video while the notary witnesses your signature in real-time.

Notarization: Once you have signed the documents, you need to seal the documents in front of the notary in real time and then mailed to address notary provides. Notary will then receive the documents, perform the notarization, and mail back documents to client.

5. Complete Payment

How: Payment is processed online through a secure payment system either before or immediately after the notarization session.

Receipt: A receipt will be sent to your email once payment is confirmed.
